Shared Journey Mentorship Agreement

I want you to get the most out of our time together, and for you to achieve the goals you have. Clear expectations will help us be successful in working together. If you have any questions, or are unsure about how to answer anything, we can schedule a brief 15 minute phone call.

Please read this agreement carefully, and raise any questions or concerns that you have with me before agreeing to the contract.

Goals

These are the questions that you answered in your Shared Journey Mentoring application.

  • What you hope to achieve as a result of working with me? Please be specific!
  • Imagine yourself 3, 6 or 12 months from now. What will be different in your life because of this mentorship? What new skills or understanding will you have?
  • While I can provide information, it is your responsibility for achieving your goals. In addition to the regularly scheduled meetings and email correspondence, what will you be doing to help achieve your goals?

Meetings

How? 

We will meet via Zoom, with all meetings recorded and the recordings of our sessions made available for you to download for your private use. This allows us to share live footage, video and documents.

Options

If you prefer, we can meet by phone via Zoom, and those phone meetings will be recorded and a link to the recording provided to you.

In-person meetings may be arranged at an additional fee, discounted 20% from my then-published rates.

When?

We can schedule your sessions up to 3 months ahead, and this ensures priority on my calendar. You may also opt to schedule meetings on a more immediate basis, with the understanding that I will do my best to fit you in quickly though prior commitments may limit our options.

Depending on the length of mentorship that you have chosen, there will be a set number of Zoom meetings in your subscription period. You may use these as suits your needs within the subscription period, but not more often than once weekly. Any unused sessions will expire at the end of that subscription period, even if you re-subscribe for another period.

Cancellations & No-show

If you need to cancel a scheduled meeting, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. One emergency cancellation with less than 24 hour notice will be permitted, then any other such cancellations will be counted against your meeting limits. If you are more than 15 minutes late to a meeting, you will be considered a no-show and that meeting will be counted against your meeting limits. In the event that I need to cancel on short notice, your meeting will be rescheduled at the earliest possible time.

Communications

In addition to the scheduled meetings, you will have reasonable access to me via email. You will be provided with a specific email address.

Please respect my work/life balance; this means I will be available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays, with some availability Friday through Monday depending on what I have on my calendar. I will always work to answer you as quickly as possibly.

After each scheduled meeting, I will provide the link to the recording of our session, and as quickly as possible provide links to any information, resources or referrals we may have discussed.

Expectations

Your mentorship subscription entitles you to a defined number of meetings. How you use those meetings is your responsibility. You are welcome to use your time with me in almost any reasonable and professional way. Ideally, we will be focusing on your objective and goals.

You may wish to organize an agenda for our meetings, outlining topics you want covered and discussed. This will help us stay focused and effective. However, an agenda is not necessary. This is your time to spend as it suits you.

Confidentiality 

Any sensitive issues that we discuss will be held in the strictest of confidence. If you have any issues that are off limits for discussion, please let me know in an email. 

Relationship termination clause

In the event that either party finds the mentoring relationship unproductive and requests that it be terminated, we agree to honor that individual’s decision without question or blame.

If the relationship is terminated by Suzanne Clothier, any further payments will be waived.

If the relationship is terminated by you, the mentee, you remain responsible for all of the contracted payments.You understand that there are no refunds for any reason.
